The Ohio State Highway Patrol is reminding motorists that the shorter days in winter call for extra caution on the roads.

The patrol said that deer can show up anywhere across the state, and you should stay alert and stay safe.

From 2019 to 2024, there have been 109,507 deer-involved crashes across Ohio.

One of the top counties is in our region.

Hancock County recorded 2725 deer-involved crashes during that span.
