It’s been six months since OhioHealth Hardin Memorial Hospital teamed up with the West Ohio Food Bank to offer a monthly food distribution event

The food drives, held on the 4th Tuesday of every month at Home Run Memorial Park in Kenton, have helped thousands of people and families to date by providing nutritious food and household supplies.

The drive-through events have been held rain or shine, and in all different types of weather conditions. From cold and snowy days to wet and windy afternoons. That includes June’s food drive event.

“As you can see from our photos, we were in a downpour but had a great time and once again we were able to serve many of our neighbors,” said Jim Whitaker, senior advisor of operations at OhioHealth Hardin Memorial Hospital.

At June’s food drive, OhioHealth and the West Ohio Food Bank received volunteer support from Kenton High School volleyball athletes as well as members from the Kenton Rotary Club and Hardin County’s OSU Extension.

The next food drive at Home Run Memorial Park in Kenton is happening Tuesday July 23, 2024, from noon – 2 p.m.
