OhioHealth Hardin Memorial Hospital introduced its new Swing Bed Program for patients in need.
The hospital’s Administrative Nurse Manager Ryan Newland explains the program, “A Swing Bed Program is a transitional care program that provides a higher level of care that can normally be provided in a nursing home or rehabilitation center. It is typically used by patients who no longer need acute hospital care but still require additional rehabilitation or medical care before they can fully return home.”
For the complete discussion with Newland, along with Care Manager Erica Wilcox and Director of Rehab Services Aaron Burkett, tune in Public Eye Saturday morning at 7:30 and Sunday at noon on WKTN.
