OhioHealth Infectious Diseases Doctor Says Wearing Masks will Slow Spread of COVID-19

A doctor who specializes in infectious diseases is a strong supporter of wearing a face covering in public.

OhioHealth Dr. Joseph Gastaldo said he believes the assessment that if everyone wore one, the number of COVID-19 cases would be reduced in a matter of weeks.

He added that wearing one shows you care about others, “It’s an act  of kindness. It’s an act of respect. It’s an act of caring. As a physician, I hope that I don’t have to suggest for people to do that. I hope that it’s really human nature that we all care for each other, and we all care for each other as human beings.”
