Beginning Wednesday, Feb. 17, Ohio Northern University’s HealthWise Mobile Clinic plans to administer vaccinations to educators at four school districts in Hardin County.
The schedule is as follows:
.Ridgemont Local School District, Mount Victory: Wednesday, Feb. 17, 1:30-3:30 p.m.
.Upper Scioto Valley School District, McGuffey: Thursday, Feb. 18, 7-9 a.m.
.Ada Exempted Village Schools: Friday, Feb. 19, 7-10 a.m.
.Hardin Northern Local School District, Dola: Friday, Feb. 19, 2:30-3:30 p.m.
The vaccinations will be administered in a clinic format, with setup in a gymnasium or cafeteria. Included will be check-in, immunization and mandatory waiting period stations. Student pharmacists will be facilitating each station with pharmacist supervision.
HealthWise Mobile Clinic also will be providing COVID-19 vaccinations for eligible 1B individuals. The first 1B clinic will be held for eligible campus community members on Saturday, Feb. 20.
Continuing Education:
On Monday, March 1, ONU’s Raabe College of Pharmacy will offer an American Pharmacists Association Immunization Continuing Education Course, a certificate training program. Two of the program’s three components will include home-based learning to be completed prior to the March 1 in-person session. The last session will provide hands-on assessment of the intramuscular and subcutaneous injection technique.
