Ostrander Man Killed in Union Count Crash

A crash on U.S. 36 in Union County Tuesday afternoon claimed the life of an Ostrander man.

According to a release from the Marysville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, 61 year old Dwight Farmer drove off the left side of the road while traveling east on 36.

The vehicle struck the embankment, a utility pole guy wire and then rolled multiple times before coming to rest.

Farmer was pronounced dead at the scene.

A juvenile passenger was transported by ambulance to Nationwide Children’s Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Union County Sheriff’s Office, Union County Coroner’s Office, Kirby’s Towing, Union County Emergency Management and Marysville Fire Department.
