Children (birth to Pre-K) and the parents, grandparents, caregivers, or friends that they love are invited to OSU Extension: Hardin’s Little Sparks: Goo Crew summer activities.

Lil Sparks: Goo Crew is designed to offer adults and the young children in their lives a variety of activities to encourage social-emotional, cognitive, physical, and language development.

The program also encourages intergenerational learning and a place for adults to learn more about child development. We meet every first and third Wednesday of the month from 10 – 11 AM at the Spark Lab in the Hardin County Extension Office unless noted in the schedule.

The first meeting of the summer is on June 15th at the Friendship Garden behind Simon Kenton School.

The theme for this meeting will be Plant, Grow, Harvest. On June 17th, the theme is America so we encourage the children and adults to wear their favorite red, white, and blue clothes.

There will not be a meeting on July 3rd due to the 4th of July. On July 17th, we will be meeting at the splash pad at Murray Park to enjoy an hour of splashing fun! We will be artists on August 7th at the Spark Lab. We will be exploring colors on August 21st. On September 4th, we will be learning the magic of science at the Hardin County Fair. We are excited to see you on these dates!

Contact the Hardin County Extension office at 419-674-2297 with any questions. If preferred, you can also email Ally McCurdy (Summer Intern) at Mccurdy.98@osu.edu or Tori Kirian (Program Assistant) at Kirian.31@osu.edu.
