Owner Cited After Her Dog Bites a Child

A Kenton woman was issued a summons after her dog bit a child Sunday evening.

According to the report from the Kenton Police Department, an officer was dispatched to the 600 block of East Street to investigate the incident.

The 13 year old boy was riding on a scooter and suffered a minor injury when he was bit.

It was determined that the dog was owned by 55 year old Jacqueline Shirk, who lives in the 800 block of Lick Street.

She was issued a summons for dogs running at large.
