Pedestrian Killed After Being Hit by a Vehicle in Marion County

A fatal crash  occurred early Tuesday morning on Marion Williamsport Road in Marion County.  

According to a release from the Marion Post of the Ohio State Patrol, the crash involved a vehicle driven by 39 year old Anthony B. Clark, of Marion, and a pedestrian, identified as 53 year old Trudy A. Blevins, also of Marion.  

The preliminary investigation indicates that Blevins was walking in the eastbound lane on Marion Williamsport Road, when she was struck by the vehicle.  

Clark ended up driving off the left side of the roadway and struck a highway traffic sign before coming to rest on the north side of the roadway.

Blevins was transported from the scene to Marion General Hospital where she was pronounced dead.  

Clark was transported to Marion General for precautionary reasons.
