Person of Interest in New Year’s Eve Fatal Shooting in Lima Arrested

A New Year’s Eve shooting in Lima remains under investigation.

According to a release from the Allen County Sheriff’s Office, a call was received at around 11:15 New Year’s Eve concerning an active fight with gunfire in the 2000 block of North Glenwood Avenue in American Township.

Upon arrival, deputies located 41 year Sandos Boddie Jr deceased inside the residence.

His body was transported to the Lucas County Coroner’s Office.

D’Juan McLaurin Sr, who was also inside the residence, was taken into custody as a person of interest regarding Boddie’s death.

The investigation is ongoing, and anyone who may have information is encouraged to contact the Allen County Sheriff’s Office Detective Bureau.

The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by American Township EMS, the Ohio Attorney General’s Office Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) and the Allen County County Prosecutor’s Office.
