Pickup Travels off SR 31 After Driver Swerves to Avoid Semi

A Chillicothe man was injured in an accident that occurred Monday morning on State Route 31 in Union County just outside Hardin County.

According to the Union County Sheriff’s Office report, Bryson Baker, age 22, was driving south on 31 when he said a northbound semi drifted into his lane.

Baker swerved, and the pickup truck ended up in a cornfield.

As he was driving out of the field, the vehicle struck a utility pole snapping it off at the base.

Baker was treated for suspected minor injuries by personnel from the S.E. Hardin EMS.
