A Kenton man is facing charges after a traffic stop Thursday in the 500 block of South Wayne Street.
According to the report from the Kenton Police Department, a narcotics trainer canine alerted on the vehicle and a search was conducted.
Officers say they located suspected heroin, a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana and a couple of drug paraphernalia items in the car.
They also seized over $3000 in cash.
50 year old Gary Whitaker was issued a summons for illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was also cited for traffic offenses of expired, fictitious plates.
The incident remains under investigation.
