Prospect Man Killed After Motorcycle Strikes Deer

A Prospect, Ohio man was killed after the motorcycle he was riding struck a deer in Marion County Tuesday night.

According to a release from the Marion Post of the Ohio State Patrol, 45 year old Gerald Lyman was operating the motorcycle southeast on Prospect-Upper Sandusky Road when the deer entered the roadway.

Lyman was ejected from the motorcycle and landed on the road.

He was transported to Marion General Hospital where he later died.

Lyman was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, which remains under investigation.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted on scene by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, Pleasant Township Fire and EMS, Marion Township EMS, Green Camp Fire and EMS, and Ed’s 24 hour Towing and Recovery.
