Rep. Jon Cross was Guest on WKTN’s Public Eye Program

State Rep. Jon Cross was the guest on this past weekend’s Public Eye program.

On the show, Cross announced that he joint-sponsored legislation with Rep. Shane Wilkin (R-Hillsboro) that creates the Ohio Business Fairness Act. 

He said the act creates competitive fairness by allowing small businesses to operate as an essential business if they sell the same or similar products as large retail stores that were deemed essential during the COVID-19 pandemic…….

He also talked about his support for the regulation reform bill that he said puts limits on emergency orders issued by the Ohio Health Director up to 14 days. Any additional time would need approval by the Ohio General Assembly.

Representative Cross added that the legislation adds proper oversight to outdated 1908 health laws.

Cross stated that he wants to find a way not only to protect people, but also to get Ohio’s businesses open again.
