The Hardin County Chamber and Business Alliance held a ribbon cutting ceremony for 101 Smokehouse Wednesday afternoon.
An emotional Andy Ayers, who owns the business with his dad Gloyed and Father-In-Law Doug Ruhlen, said ten years ago they purchased a concession trailer and it was always their dream to open a business.
He added they believe in this community, “We didn’t want to do it anywhere else, and we’re super excited to bring this restaurant to you guys. It’s going to be a family oriented place. A lot of my family is sitting behind me and everybody else here became a part of our family.”
101 Smokehouse is located at 120 South Main Street in Kenton.
