Ridgemont Board Hires New Superintendent

The Ridgemont School District announced that Brian Hogan will be the new Ridgemont Superintendent beginning August 1.

Hogan completed his undergraduate degree from Urbana University and began his career as a teacher for Greeneview Local Schools in southern Ohio, then on to teaching at his alma mater, Bellefontaine City Schools. A

He has spent the last five years as the 6 through 12 grade principal for Waynesfield-Goshen Local Schools. 

Hogan takes over for J. Chris Pfister who took over as Interim Superintendent before being hired as full-time Superintendent.

The Ridgemont District thanks Mr. J. Chris Pfister for his leadership and guidance as Interim Superintendent then as Superintendent and now will be resigning as Mr. Brian Hogan will be the new Ridgemont Superintendent beginning August 1, 2023.  

Mr. Pfister came in at a time the district needed a leader and he stepped in with a unique set of skills and experience for the vision of the district.  The board would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr. Pfister for his willingness to commit to the district and lead us for the school year.  We have seen growth, change and development under his leadership and we wish Mr. Pfister and his family the best in their future endeavors.

The Board has hired Brian Hogan as the new Superintendent and he will begin his contract on August 1, 2023.  Mr. Hogan completed his undergraduate degree from Urbana University and began his career as a teacher for Greeneview Local Schools in southern Ohio, then on to teaching at his alma mater of Bellefontaine City Schools. After obtaining his master’s degree in educational leadership and Superintendent license program from the University of Dayton, he began his administrative career as the K-12 principal at Russia Local Schools in Ohio and has spent the last five years as the 6-12 principal for Waynesfield-Goshen Local Schools. He has been married to his wife Lindsay for 16 years and she is a first grade teacher for Bellefontaine City Schools. They have three beautiful children: two daughters Alexis-11, Devyn-9 and a son, Zackary-2. 

Mr. Hogan’s goal is to be an active and visible member of the community and he is looking forward to getting to know all the people of the Ridgemont community and their walks of life. He looks forward to continuing the positive growth that has been made this past year and helping to guide that growth and momentum even further. Mr. Hogan would like the community to know his office is always open for a conversation and invites anyone to reach out by email or phone anytime!
