Ridgemont Releases Minutes of October Board Meeting

Thank you to everyone for making Ridgemont’s Homecoming Week a huge success. Thank you to the students for participating in all of the events, the teachers for assisting in every event and the parents and community for sharing in the excitement of the week. Congratulations to the Homecoming Court and to the Football Team for that amazing win!

Just a reminder that Ridgemont Local Schools will be on the ballot for the November 5th election.

The levy is a renewal of the .75% income tax that was passed by voters in 2010 and 2015.

Board Member, Mr. Corey Ledley was honored for serving on the Ridgemont Board of Education for 10 years. Thank you Mr. Ledley for your dedication to the students of Ridgemont. The Ohio School Boards Association will also be honoring Mr. Ledley.

Personnel:

An addendum was approved to the contract of Treasurer, Mrs. Melissa Pollom. A contract with Ms. Josephine Warner was approved for second shift in the Maintenance Department, effective October 21, 2019, through June 30, 2020. The resignation from Mr. Brandon Watkins as Junior High Assistant Football Coach, effective September 14, 2019, was accepted and a supplemental contract to Michael Bell as JH Assistant Football Coach was approved, effective September 15, 2019. Ms. Keysten Creamer was approved as a Volunteer Girls Basketball Coach for the 2019-2020 school year. Also, Non-Certified Substitutes were approved.

Operations:

The resolution to appoint a member to the Ohio Hi-Point Career Center Board was approved with Mrs. Paige Wallace being selected. Mrs. Wallace will serve on the Ohio Hi-Point Board for three years.

The Ridgemont Board approved a resolution to recognize Girls’ Swimming and Diving as a varsity sport beginning the 2019-2020 school year and Jina Kearns was approved as a Volunteer Head Coach.

Ridgemont Public Library had a motion approved for replacing Mr. Michael Bell on their Board with Mr. David Seig.
