Rosalie Ann Lowe, 81, of Kenton passed away peacefully at her daughter’s home in Austin, TX on Thursday, July 16, 2020.
Rosalie was born January 20, 1939 to Grant and Leah (Sleek) Holycross.
She was a graduate of Kenton Senior High School and attended the Kenton Christian Missionary Alliance Church.
On April 28, 1958, she married her Kenton Sr. High School sweetheart, and the love of her life, Ted Lowe. They were married for 58 years before Ted passed on November 16, 2016. Rosalie was preceded in death by her parents, and her two sons, Gary (Diana) Lowe of Kenton, and Terry (Doris) Lowe, also of Kenton. She is survived by her sister, Gloria “Jeanne”
Rodenberger of Wapakoneta, and her daughter, Jolene (Matthew) Urbancic of Austin, TX. She had several grandchildren; Tara Smith, Tami Baum, Daniel Croy, Aaron Sandy, Amanda Van Sommeren, Chase and Alexandra Urbancic, as well as many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Rosalie was cherished by her family and friends. She was known for her quick-wit, outrageous sense of humor, her infectious laugh and her kind and compassionate spirit. She was a die-hard Kenton Wildcat fan. Her passions were many; dancing to her favorite 50’s music, playing cards, going to the movies, cooking (her potato salad was legendary), vacations and just spending time with her close friends and family. She was the queen of Trivial Pursuit and she was considered a “second mom” to many of her children’s friends. When she laughed, she laughed hard, and she could bring an entire room to tears. This is how she will be remembered, for the immense joy she brought to others.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 25, 2020 at SCHINDEWOLF-STOUT-CRATES FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Steve Hess officiating.
Burial will follow at Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00pm Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Christian Missionary Alliance Church in Kenton. Online condolences can be expressed to the family by visiting stoutcrates.com.
