Rotary District Governor, Jim Duke, left, joined Kenton Rotary President, Kirk Shepherd and other Rotarians for an update

Gov. Duke highlighted how he became a Rotarian, The Rotary Foundation, membership and mental health.

The Foundation, which covers District 6600 of Rotary gave grants totaling over $62,000 back to the clubs and over $150,000 in international grants.

Membership in district 6600 totaled just over 2800 and the Kenton Club has been growing in numbers.

Duke said that sometimes Rotary clubs are the best kept secret in a community. We, as local clubs, have to be open to change to attract new members to Rotary. Always looking toward the future but keeping in mind what is best for our club and community.

Finally, Duke closed his remarks by touching on mental health and the wellbeing of our membership and community.

Post-Covid depression is on the rise and reminded the club that is a sign of strength to ask for help.

It is important to maintain a balance in life and all that we do.
