Roughriders Use Size To Overpower Cats

The St. Marys Roughriders capitalized on a significant size advantage to knock off the Kenton Wildcats 66-43 in Western Buckeye League boys basketball Friday.

Austin Parks, a 6-8 freshman, had 26 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Riders (11-3 overall, 3-2 WBL) while 6-6 senior Ethan Steiger had 13 points and five rebounds.

Kenton (9-7, 4-1) placed three players in double figures – Jayden Cornell had 14 points while Bryce Ellis and Jacob Eversole scores 10 points apiece.

Ellis was named the Ace Hardware Player of the Game.
