A driver escaped injury in a commercial semi rollover crash that occurred just before 7:30 Monday evening on US 30 just south of Beaverdam.

According to a release from the Lima Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Jourdain Pascal, age 31, of Florida was operating the semi-tractor and trailer westbound on US 30 and went off the right side of the roadway while negotiating a curve.

The semi struck a traffic sign and then rolled over before striking a second traffic sign and lost approximately 36,000 pounds of assorted iced tea beverages that spilled onto the road.

Pascal was reportedly wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and did not report injury.

The roadway was closed for approximately three hours while the semi was turned back over and cleared from the roadway.
