Severe Weather Threat This Afternoon and Evening

The National Weather Service has stated there is the potential for strong to severe storms to develop this afternoon and lingering into the evening. 

Damaging winds will be the primary severe weather threat.

In addition to that it will be hot with heat index readings expected to be in the mid 90s.
