Shooting in Marion Under Investigation

Officers from the Marion Police Department responded to the 200 block of Clinton Street Sunday morning to investigate a shooting.  

At the scene, Melinda Holsinger, age 30, who had been shot in the leg while inside her residence, was located. 

She was taken to Marion General Hospital by Marion City Fire Department Squad and later taken to Grant Hospital via MedFlight.   

Her injuries appeared to be non-life threatening.

Jason A. Armbruster, Age 33 of Marion, was arrested at a residence in the 900 block of Bennett Street later that morning without incident.   

He was taken to Multi-County Jail on felonious assault charges.   

Additional charges could be filed in the future as well.   

The shooting remains under investigation.
