Shooting Incident in Bellefontaine Leaves 1 Dead and 3 Injured

One person is dead, and three others were injured in a shooting that occurred late Wednesday night in Bellefontaine.

WPKO Radio reported that the Bellefontaine Police Department  was dispatched to 601 West Columbus Street on a report of shots fired at the residence.

One man was found dead inside, and the other male was suffering from gunshot wounds. The injured man was taken by helicopter to a hospital in Columbus.

There were two females in the house who were injured, but not from being shot.

Three male suspects are currently being sought, and information on them is still being gathered.

On its Facebook page, the Bellefontaine Police Department stated that they are currently investigating the shooting.

They are asking anyone with information to call them at 937-599-1010 and ask for Detective Dwight Salyer.

The Bureau of Criminal Investigation is assisting in the investigation.
