Slippery Roads Blamed for 2 Separate Mishaps Involving Semi Trucks

Both lanes of State Route 31 in Union County were blocked for a couple of hours due to a jackknifed semi Thursday afternoon.

 

According to the Daily Media Release from the Union County Sheriff’s Office, the semi began sliding on drifting snow causing the it to jackknife near Richwood Miller Road.

 

There were no injuries.

A semi ended up off U.S. 68 Thursday and crashed into several vehicles on Brinkman’s Greenhouse south of Findlay.

 

WFIN Radio reported that the semi was traveling south on 68 when the driver lost control of the vehicle and ended up off the right side of the road where it struck the porch of a house and eight unoccupied vehicles in the parking lot.

 

A worker at Brinkman’s narrowly missed being hit.

 

There were no injuries, and the crash remains under investigation by the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office.
