Soroptimist Acknowledged as Dreamer’s Club; Club 250 Winner Announced

Soroptimist International Kenton, OH has been acknowledged as a Dreamers club.

This newly awarded badge will represent SI/Kenton, OH’s committment to the global advancement of women and girls.

By participating in Club Giving through volunteer and fundraising efforts SI/Kenton, OH has demonstrated its dedication and commitment to investing in the future of courageous women and girls, not only in our local community, but around the world. We are honored to support so we can reach half a million women and girls through our global Dream Programs!

Soroptimist was formed in 1921 in Oakland, California, at a time when women were not permitted to join service organizations. The name, loosely translated from the Latin, means best for women.

The organization has about 30,000 members and supporters in countries across North America, Latin America and the Pacific Rim.

It is one of five federations that make up Soroptimist International, which has clubs in more than 120 countries throughout the world.

KENTON-Hardin County Soroptimist International announced the latest Club 250 winner.

Ruth Ann Cook will receive $100. 

Club 250 is a fundraiser that helps to award scholarships to local women and girls.

Week 1-48 win $100. Week 49-50 win $125, week 51 wins $250, and Week 52 wins $500.

Winning tickets drawn week 1-48 will have their tickets put back in for future drawings.

Winning tickets drawn after week 48 do not go back in.

Weekly winners will be announced and mailed a check.
