Spencerville Woman Killed, Husband Injured in Hancock County Motorcycle Accident

A woman was killed and her husband was critically injured in a motorcycle accident in Hancock County Tuesday evening.

According to a release from the Findlay Post of the Ohio State Patrol, 69 year old Ronald Sheets, of Spencerville, was operating the motorcycle south on Interstate 75 and traveled off the right side of the road.

The motorcycle struck the ditch and overturned.

Sheets and his passenger, 60 year old Julie Sheets, were ejected.

Both were transported to Blanchard Valley Hospital in Findlay where Mrs. Sheets was pronounced dead.

Mr. Sheets had life-threatening injuries.

Neither occupant was wearing a helmet.

Alcohol or drug impairment are not suspected in the crash.
