An establishment in Kenton was cited over the weekend for violating health orders.

According to a release from the Ohio State Highway Patrol, agents from the Ohio Investigative Unit visited Spirits 68 on the south side of Kenton and reported seeing a packed bar where no social distancing guidelines were being followed or enforced.

Agents also say that the permit holder was selling and patrons were consuming alcoholic beverages after 11pm in violation of Rule 80 dealing with after hours consumption.

The Kenton Police Department assisted agents with the crowd.

Also in our region, Rays Place in Lima was cited for improper conduct and disorderly activity.

Agents say they observed numerous patrons standing in large groups with no attempts by the bar staff to enforce social distancing directives.

The Lima Police Department assisted at that location.

These cases will go before the Ohio Liquor Control Commission for potential penalties, including fines and/or the suspension or revocation of liquor permits.
