State Awards Additional $114 Million to Address Critical Water Infrastructure

The State of Ohio will award $114 million in grant awards to support 70 critical water infrastructure projects in 58 counties.

In our region:

.The Village of Harrod (Allen County) will receive a $40,000 grant to install a standby generator for sewage management.

The generator will facilitate sewage and ensure essential services are maintained during any power outages or emergency situations.

The grant will also support the construction of a building to secure the generator from any damage.

The project will benefit 525 people.

.The Village of McComb (Hancock County) will receive a $598,668 grant for the installation of a storm sewer interceptor along Church St.

The project will address flooding issues in the vicinity of Church St., Cherry St., Pleasant St., and eight additional streets.

Project activities include the installation of 2,300 linear feet of storm sewer conduit and 560 linear feet of sewer conduit.

The project will benefit 1,638 people.
