Stolen Vehicle Crashes; Juvenile Arrested in Kenton Monday Morning

A 15 year boy was taken into custody after allegedly stealing a vehicle early this morning in Kenton.

According to information from Kenton Police Chief Dennis Musser, the suspect stole a Kia in the 300 block of East Ohio Street at around 5 this morning.

Around an hour later, officers spotted the vehicle and attempted a traffic stop, but the car sped away.

The driver crashed the vehicle in the area of Superior and Carrol Streets and then fled on foot.

After a foot pursuit, the juvenile was found hiding under a vehicle in the area of Stevens and King Streets.

He was not injured and was taken into custody and is being held at the Union County Juvenile Detention Center.
