There was a lot of rain, thunder and lightning on Labor Day, but there were no reports of any major problems.

The area was spared high winds.

The storm dumped as much as 5 inches of rain in some areas in Hardin County.

Around 500 AEP customers south of Kenton lost electricity for much of the overnight.

Service was restored to them this morning

According to the utility’s website, a handful of customers in Kenton are still without electricity.

They are expected to have service restored sometime today.

The Hardin County Sheriff’s Office had no reports of roads being closed in the county due to the heavy rain.
