Lima, Ohio: The Ohio Suicide Prevention Foundation (OSPF), in collaboration with the Allen, Hardin, & Auglaize County Suicide Prevention Coalitions & Prevention Awareness Support Services offers workforce development in suicide prevention for behavioral health professionals.

OSPF will offer AMSR for behavioral health professionals serving youth and young adults (10-24).

Assessing and Managing Suicide Risk (AMSR) educates behavioral health professionals on how to recognize, assess, and help patients struggling with suicidality. AMSR is a 1 day training designed to help all behavioral health professionals learn to recognize, assess, and help suicidal patients.

AMSR provides professionals with a deeper understanding of suicide ideation and its treatment by training participants in how to approach work with suicidal patients; how to understand suicide; how to obtain important information from patients on suicide; how to form accurate judgement on client well-being; and how to safely plan for and respond to patients’ suicidal thoughts.

The training will be held:

Friday April 5th, 2019
8:30am-5:00pm
Veterans Memorial and Civic Center of Lima/Allen County
7 Town Square
Lima, OH 45801

Professionals from across Ohio are welcome at the training and will receive CEUs for participation. Participants will only be charged $30 to cover the cost of CEUs, lunch, and registration processing. Registration is available at this link: http://www.cvent.com/d/pbqqq1/4W.
