A suspicious item found at the University of Findlay Wednesday evening was identified as a piece of construction material.
University police officers found the items that appeared to be attached to a natural gas line leading to the Student Life Building.
WFIN Radio reported that as a precaution, the building as well as others nearby were evacuated.
The Findlay Fire Department and Lima-Allen County Regional Bomb Squad were then dispatched.
The item was identified at around 10:15 Wednesday night.
The incident remains under investigation.
