Teenager Accused of Bringing Gun on School Property Makes Initial Appearance in Court Tuesday

A Kenton teenager who is facing charges connected to bringing a gun on Kenton City School property appeared without counsel Tuesday morning in Hardin County Municipal Court.

18 year old Landon C. Kitchen was charged with 2 counts of illegal conveyance or possession of a deadly weapon in a school safety zone and one count of receiving stolen property, all felonies of the fifth degree.

The incident allegedly occurred last week while school was not in session for Spring Break.

Edwin Bibler was appointed to represent Kitchen.

Bond was set at $5000 cash or surety, and the preliminary hearing will be held Thursday morning in Municipal Court.
