Three Injured in Crash Involving School Bus and Car Thursday Afternoon

A crash involving a Simon Kenton school bus and a car injured three people Thursday afternoon at the intersection of County Roads 115 and 180.

 

According to a release from the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office, 28 year old Bradley D. Harshfield, of Bellefontaine, drove from a stop sign on 180 onto 115, and his car was struck by a northbound bus being operated by 49 year old Anna LaWarre, of Kenton.

 

Harshfield was flown from the scene to Grant Medical Center in Columbus.

 

LaWarre and the bus monitor, 52 year old Melissa Moore, of Kenton, were both transported by BKP Ambulance to Hardin Memorial Hospital.

 

The were no students on the bus at the time.

 

Sheriff’s deputies were assisted at the scene by BKP Ambulance, Kenton Fire Department and Kenton Fire Ambulance; BMRT Fire Department and BMRT Ambulance; MedFlight and Minich’s Towing. 

 

The crash remains under investigation.
