Three people were killed in a head-on crash that occurred this past Friday evening on State Route 117 in Logan County.

The Bellefontaine Examiner reported that 41 year old Clayton Stump, of Lakeview, was driving north on 117 and his pickup was struck head on by a southbound minivan being driven by 19 year old Erik Snyder, of London, Ohio.

Both drivers, as well as a passenger in Snyder’s vehicle, 50 year old Kelly Snyder, were all pronounced dead at the scene.

A third vehicle collided into the wreckage, and the driver, 28 year old Corey Cummins, of Bellefontaine, was taken by helicopter to St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima, where he is in stable condition. A passenger in that car, 33 year old Timothy Allen, of Bellefontaine, was later transferred to OSU Wexner Medical Center in Columbus.

The driver of a fourth vehicle was able to avoid a collision, but ended up off the right side of the road. She was not injured.

The crash remains under investigation.
