A Tiffin man was arrested Monday evening in connection to the robbery of the Kroger store in Kenton.

According to a release from Kenton Police Chief Dennis Musser, the Hardin County Crime Task Force, along with the Tiffin Police Department, executed a search warrant at a residence in the 6000 block of South Sandusky Street in Tiffin where they arrested 26 year old John Benjamin.

Officers found numerous items of interest in the residence as well as drugs and drug paraphernalia.

A large sum of money was also seized.

Benjamin is currently being held in the Seneca County Jail on numerous arrest warrants.

Charges in connection to the Kroger robbery are pending.

Benjamin allegedly went into the store Sunday evening, handed a note to a clerk stating this was a robbery.

He made off with an undisclosed amount of money.

A high speed pursuit was initiated and traveled east on 67 before the officer terminated the pursuit due to unsafe conditions.

The task force was assisted in the investigation by the Tiffin Police Department and Wyandot County Sheriff’s Office.
