We are now just over one week away from the Solar Eclipse on Monday April 8.

Hardin County Astronomy Club Secretary David Humphreys takes us through the timeline on that day, “The partial eclipse starts at 1:55:28 for Kenton, so that’s 28 seconds after 1:55, and that’s when the partial eclipse starts. The totality starts at 3:10 and 23 seconds for Kenton, and totality ends at 3:14:18, and then the partial eclipse ends at 4:26:34, so a lot of people don’t realize it, everybody’s gearing up for totality, but they don’t realize that the partial eclipse starts at 1:55 and doesn’t end, the whole eclipse doesn’t end, until 4:26.”

For the complete discussion, tune in Public Eye Saturday morning at 7:30 and Sunday at noon on WKTN.
