Two Ada police officers were credited with helping extinguish a fire this past Monday evening before it caused significant damage.
Officers Peterman and Eldridge used fire extinguishers to put out the fire which was reported in the 300 block of West Buckeye Avenue in Ada at around 10:20 Monday night.
The Ada Police Department stated this is a good reminder to residents to always have an extinguisher handy and smoke alarms that are in good working condition.
There were no injuries in the Monday night fire.
