Two individuals were arrested overnight as the result of an investigation into the threat of school violence directed towards Elida Schools.

The school district was given the green light to return to school this morning after the Allen County Sheriff’s Office made the arrest.

The threat was received by the Allen County Sheriff’s Office Tuesday night.

The Elida Middle and High Schools returned to class after a two hour delay.

Local law enforcement will be present to help ensure students and staff feel safe.

The Elementary School closed for the day.

While there is no imminent threat at this time, the district will continue to review all of their safety procedures and make any changes that are necessary, according to the school superintendent.
