Two Men Arrested on Warrants After Traffic Stop in Wyandot County

A suspicious vehicle investigation led to the arrest of two men over Christmas weekend in Wyandot County.

According to the Wyandot County Sheriff’s Office report, deputies were dispatched to the 18,000 block of County Highway 96 in reference to a suspicious vehicle.

Once in the area, a deputy observed a vehicle leaving an abandoned property and a traffic stop was initiated on State Highway 67, and the driver was identified as Kyle L. McKitrick, of Forest.

The driver and a passenger, Channing Deitrick, of Fostoria, both were arrested on active felony warrants.

A probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted and deputies found two meth pipes with burnt residue, a hand torch and a baggie of a crystal like substance believed to be methamphetamine.

McKitrick and Deitrick were transported to the Wyandot County Jail on the warrants.

They and another passenger in the vehicle are facing additional charges as the investigation into the incident continues.
