Two Truck Drivers Injured in Wyandot County Crash

The drivers of two semis were injured in a crash that occurred Wednesday afternoon on U.S. 30 in Wyandot County.

According to the report from the Wyandot County Sheriff’s Office, a semi hauling a heavy load and being operated by 44 year old Anthony Howard, of Franklin Furn, Ohio, pulled onto 30 from County Highway 78, and was struck from behind by an eastbound semi being operated by 31 year old Omar Mohamed Ibrahim, of New York. The crash occurred a good distance from 78.

Disabling damage occurred to both vehicles.

The drivers were transported to Wyandot Memorial Hospital.

Ibrahim was cited for an assured clear distance ahead violation.
