Two Vehicle Non-Injury School Bus Crash Occurs in Lima

Bath Township – The Ohio State Highway Patrol Lima Post is investigating a two vehicle non-injury crash that occurred on August 31st, 2022, at approximately 7:10 A.M. The crash occurred at the intersection of Bible Road and Sugar Street.

William Decker, age 28, of Lafayette Ohio was operating a 2014 Chrysler 300 eastbound on Bible Road. Mr. Decker failed to maintain an assured clear distance ahead and struck the rear of a 2016 Bluebird school bus.

The bus was stopped at a traffic light at the intersection of Sugar Street, operated by Laura Marsh, age 45 of Wapakoneta Ohio. There were 34 passengers in the Bluebird and there were no suspected injuries.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol reminds motorist to always maintain an assured clear distance ahead, never drive distracted, and to always wear a properly adjusted safety belt.
