A city work crew worked well into the night repairing two water main leaks in Kenton.

One was in the 600 block of Decatur Street, and the repair was made quickly without having to shut off the water to the city.

The second leak was in the 700 block of Decatur at Scioto Street, which was a little more difficult.

After locating the 12 inch main, a little more digging was required to find the leak.

That uncovered 3 gas lines surrounding the water main, and the rest of the digging had to be done by hand.

Once found, the leak was repaired, again without having to shut off the water.

Both repairs were completed by around two in the morning with the crew working in on again, off again rain.

Since the water was not shut off, no boil advisory is necessary.
