United Way Holds Community Day of Caring

United Way of Hardin County held their “Community Day of Caring” over the weekend.

Volunteers from workplaces, organizations, service clubs, & churches came together over two days to work on service projects around Hardin County.

United Way of Hardin County partnered with P&G and with the help of Walnut Grove Friends distributed Hand Sanitizer to each of the school districts. Kenton City, USV, Ada, Hardin Northern & Ridgemont.

Healthwise Pharmacy at ONU held a county wide flu shot clinic at the Mary Lou Johnson Library for any county resident in need of a flu shot.

Women Powering Honda from Honda Transmission volunteered at Beatitudes in Ada with painting .

Precision Strip and families volunteered at New Hope Ministries with weeding, cleaning windows and cleaning the shelter.

Boy Scout Troop 150 spent time at Pioneer Park picking up trash.

Approximately 35 volunteers around Hardin County volunteered time & services to improve and strengthen the county.

Although this was a small event, a lot of impact was made on Hardin County through a volunteer spirit.
