The United Way of Hardin County recently held their first Radio Day Auction this past Saturday August 15th.
The Auction was streamed online and also on 95.3 WKTN from 10am-3pm.
The goal was to raise $10,000 for the United Way of Hardin County. Prizes in value of over $8600 were donated for the auction. A final total of auction bids and cash donations show that $10,044 were raised for the United Way.
Executive Director Michele Daniels had this to say; “Thank you to WKTN for hosting and providing air time, all the wonderful United Way Volunteers, & of course to you Hardin county residents and businesses who donated items and/or cash, the all-day sponsors, and those who listened & bid on items!” Daniels added “By doing all that, you invested into your community through helping fund our 21 Partner Agencies!”
Plans for the 2nd Radio Day Auction are underway and more details will be provided when they become available.
