The United Way of Hardin County Kickoff was held this morning.

Executive Director Michele Daniels said the goal was set at $150,000.

The Campaign Chairs are Jack McBride and Linda Garmon.

McBride noted that the goal is lower than past goals.

Despite the challenges caused by the coronavirus pandemic, McBride said they are confident that they can reach the goal.

Honorary Co-Chairs are Bob and Stephanie Temple.

The money is distributed to 21 partner agencies of the United Way of Hardin County.

In addition to helping those agencies, Madelyn Lowery stated that the United of Hardin County is also here to help during these difficult times.

She highlighted their achievements over these past few months.

They include teaming with the West Ohio Food Bank to distribute thousands of pounds of food to thousands of families, partnering with the Rogers Insurance Agency to distribute PPE to long term care facilities and hand sanitizer to medical personnel, first responders and long term care facilities thanks to their partnership with Proctor and Gamble.
