University of Northwestern Ohio to Resume Athletics Hall of Fame
After an eleven-year hiatus, the University of Northwestern Ohio (UNOH) is thrilled to announce the much-anticipated return of its Athletics Hall of Fame. The celebration will kick off on January 11, 2025, with a special event honoring the Hall of Fame’s current inductees.
The festivities will take place during a thrilling basketball doubleheader as the UNOH Racers take on Rochester Christian University. The women’s game will begin the day’s excitement at 1:00 PM, followed by the men’s game tipping off at 3:00 PM. At halftime of the men’s game, the current Hall of Fame members will be recognized on court for their lasting contributions to UNOH athletics.
In addition to the halftime ceremony, Hall of Fame members and their families will enjoy exclusive access to the UNOH VIP Room, located in the gymnasium lobby, between the women’s and men’s games.
Looking ahead, UNOH is excited to announce that nominations for the first new class of inductees since the Hall of Fame’s return will open on May 1, 2025. Submissions will be accepted through July 1, 2025, through the athletics website, UNOHRacers.com. The 2026 class of inductees will be announced in September, with an official induction ceremony slated for January 2026.
