Upper Sandusky Defeats Kenton in Girls Softball Action on Monday

Kenton Wildcats fell behind early and couldn’t come back in an 11-4 loss to Upper Sandusky on Monday.

Upper Sandusky scored on a single by Jenna Kurtz in the first inning and a groundout by Jenna Clary in the first inning.

Upper Sandusky got on the board in the first inning. Kurtz singled on a 3-1 count, scoring one run.

Kenton Wildcats tallied three runs in the fourth inning. Brynn Butler and Emily Pees all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

Upper Sandusky scored three runs in the sixth inning. Upper Sandusky scored its runs on a single by Hannah Plymale.

Liv Gier got the win for Upper Sandusky. Gier allowed eight hits and four runs over seven innings, striking out ten.

Jill Burd took the loss for Kenton Wildcats . Burd surrendered eight runs on seven hits over five innings, striking out seven.

Kenton Wildcats tallied eight hits in the game. Butler and Pees each managed multiple hits for Kenton Wildcats . Butler went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Kenton Wildcats in hits.

Upper Sandusky scattered ten hits in the game. Plymale, Kurtz, and Bailey Fox each had multiple hits for Upper Sandusky. Plymale led Upper Sandusky with three hits in four at bats.
