Upper Sandusky Tennis Team Defeats Shelby in Boys Tennis Match

Upper Sandusky won on the road versus Shelby this afternoon, 3-2.

Upper is now 9-2 on the season.

Upper won all the singles matches. Shelby won the doubles.

1S- Levi Malone def. Ryan Stahl 7-6(7-3), 6-3
2S- Landon Cotto-Ramos def. Jacob Billheimer 6-2, 6-2
3S- Justin Blackburn def. Ty Cox 6-0, 6-2
1D- Nolan Stahl/ Austin Means def. Grant Bower/ Anson Hill 6-3, 6-0
2D- Isaiah Hicks/ Alex Gribble def. Nolan Mewhorter/Kyle Snowden 5-7, 6-3, 6-3

We won three JV Doubles matches.
Seth Mawer/Ben Blankenship won 8-4
Jacob Herbert/ Blake Herbert won 8-1
Xander Hildebrand / Ethan Steele won 9-7

Coach Aaron Frazee said, “The first singles match was one we had circled on the schedule because Levi and Stahl played a great match against each other last year. Both are really good athletes so we are thrilled that Levi was able to avenge his loss from last year. It’s always tough to beat Shelby. It’s my first time beating them and to know we did it with three singles wins says a lot about the practice our kids have put in. Levi, Landon, and Justin all are playing really well right now.”

The Rams are at the Bucyrus Jim Grandy Invitational on Saturday (if the weather cooperates).
